NAME: Remembering a friend
Description: Paying his respects to a friend who passed away. This bench marked one of his favourite spots to relax in the city.

Name: Fork Handles
Description: Through the small shelved doorframe there lies an alternate form of Narnia, the old fashioned DIY shop, a small, miniature portrait into the past. Imagine the whole stock of B&Q being stacked into a space about 1/20th of the size and you get this store.
The clientele are of a bygone era, reminiscent of that Two Ronnies sketch where he asks for fork handles and some O’s. Misinterpreted by the shop keeper he is presented with four white paraffin candles and a length of green garden hose.
But parts of that old society still live on today, with political positives and negatives which affect the rest of us on an every day basis. Its not necessarily cheaper or any better quality to shop here, but like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, for many it’s just more fun.
